Viv Albertine is a founding member of The Slits, an influential UK punk band from the late 1970s. Her first solo album, "In Search of the Slits", was released in 1982 and documented her time as a member of the band. In 1990 she released her second solo album, "Three", which included collaborations with hip-hop artists such as DJ Zulu and MC Solaar. In 2001 she released a collection of her previously unpublished poetry – "The Biggest & Smallest Littlest Poems – A Book for Children"
